Jeremy and Andrea Merckel married on 30th August 2003 in Sutton Coldfield. "When Jeremy and Andy began looking for their wedding photographer, they were anxious for their photos to capture the true spirit of the day and not be too contrived. "I only wanted a small number of semi-posed shots to make sure that the important group shots were caught," says Andy.

The couple visited several photographers but found it difficult to find a reportage-style photographer they were happy with. " We were thrilled when we eventually met Trevor Viney who is part of the team at NaturalWeddings.co.uk. He was really interested in what we wanted," says Andy. The cost of their wedding album was a priority for the couple. "We were initially concerned about the fees for reportage photographers, but we quickly decided that the end results would justify the extra money spent and we also knew we only had one real chance to get the wedding album of our dreams."

Trevor worked with Jeremy and Andrea and assembled a package to suit their needs. A test shoot was also included in the price. "This was great," says Andy. "It allowed us to get used to being photographed and also gave our photographer the opportunity to see how we reacted in front of the camera and to give us tips." The photographs were on the NaturalWeddings.co.uk website within a week of the wedding so all their friends and family were able to see them. "This was fantastic for us," Andy explains , "we were away travelling for two months afterwards and were able to access them on our trip."

Making the choice

The couple chose a classic-style album and selected photos with Trevor's help. "We were able to choose which photos to have in colour and which to have in black and white" says Andy.
